I had a conversation once with a friend that I consider intelligent and hardworking. She already wrote two books. I asked her if she has any blog that I can read. She told me that she doesn’t like blogging and has a negative perception towards it. Maybe because many blogs nowadays can be considered ‘rubbish’. She then said to me that you better don’t blog yourself. Hmmm, it was interesting to encounter someone who has an opinion to that extent. It has been more than a year since I had that conversation.

In my personal opinion, blogging has many tremendous benefits among which is wisdom. Wisdom is to take the right action with the right degree at the right moment and the right place. Wisdom is not something that can be learned loosely in a text book or a semester of class but rather more effectively acquired through experience. For example, by reading other’s experience in blogs such as one written by Ustaz Hasrizal Abdul Jamil (www.saifulislam.com), I gained many beneficial lessons and also widen my perspectives that contribute significantly to my quest in becoming a wise Muslim. Ahamdulillah. Therefore, by writing in this blog, hopefully others can also benefit from my humble personal experience inshaAllah.

Secondly, I like to read my friends’ blogs so that I know what they are currently up to. I think by reading their blogs, I can have a more organize, detail and consistent updates in their lives. So, I would like my families and friends to know what I am currently up to without contacting me. Third, blog is a good platform to share your opinion and thought. You can express your thought about certain issue and share it with everybody without the need to write a book or find a column in a newspaper. People can comment on your thought and everybody can have a constructive discussion about that particular issue. I think this is neat and we should definitely take advantage on this technology.

In conclusion, I dedicate this site to my parents, my wife, families and friends. May Allah guide us all to the right path. Ameen.
